Hope you are enjoying the chillier weather just in time for Thanksgiving! Below are a few announcements for upcoming events:
1. GOYA Interest Meeting – Nov. 17
Tomorrow, November 16th, we will be holding a brief interest meeting for the Greek Orthodox Youth Association (GOYA) during the General Assembly. The meeting will only take a few minutes, so you won’t miss much of the General Assembly session.
We will be discussing opportunities for participation in the Bible Bowl at the Winter Youth Rally in Atlanta, which takes place after Christmas.
Please note that this opportunity is available to youth in 7th grade and up.
2. No Sunday School – Dec. 1
Since we will have a lot of folks out due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will not hold Sunday School classes on Sunday, December 1st.
3. The Annual Philoptochos Holiday Pastry Sale – Nov. 22-23
Please forward the attached flyer to your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and anyone else you think might be interested. This event is a major Phioptochos fundraiser. The proceeds from this event will help fund our charitable donations and activities for the year. We’ll have pastries for sale on sight in the hall on November 22nd and November 23rd but to make sure you receive the goodies you love, we recommend preordering.
